Training at Home

Pros

  • There are no membership fees to be paid.
  • Clients are more comfortable at home as there is more privacy.
  • Client’s time is maximized as they are at home.
  • Clients become familiar with exercising with minimum
equipment or can use modified equipment found in their home.
  • Clients may feel more committed when a trainer visits them at
    home.

Cons

  • Trainers must factor in travelling time in-between clients and
    may therefore have fewer clients.

  • Clients may feel too comfortable at home as there may be other
distractions like children, phone calls and pets.
  • Trainers may need to invest in simple equipment like dumbbells,
    barbells, resistance bands and mats.
  • Trainers may need a van or a car to transport the equipment so
costs associated with transport must be factored into the personal
    training fee.
